El Cuarteto Novo se formó en Copenaguen, en 2018, y es una oda a un formato que, desde el siglo XVIII, ha logrado contar, con cuatro instrumentos de cuerda, innumerables historias. El joven cuarteto tiene ya varios premios en su historial, entre los que se encuentran haber obtenido el primer lugar en la Geneva International Music Competition, en Suiza. Actualmente hacen parte del Elite Program de la École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, y son creadores del festival Across Chamber Music Series. En esta ocasión realizan un programa para conmemorar el décimo quinto aniversario de la muerte del compositor Dmitri Shostakovich.
