Diez lunas para una espera es el último libro de la autora colombiana Velia Vidal quien recoge los paisajes y la tradición oral, poética y sonora del Pacífico colombiano en torno al nacimiento y la preparación para la llegada de una nueva vida. Para cantar esta historia, la compositora colombiana Eliana Echeverri, becaria del Banco de la República, creó una polifonía a partir de la unión de una voz lírica y un ensamble de cámara conformado por cuarteto de cuerdas, clarinete, contrabajo y piano, con el espíritu de la marimba de chonta y las voces de cantaoras que hoy son receptoras de legados que se han construido paralelamente durante siglos.
