El tiplista bogotano ha sido ganador en repetidas ocasiones del Festival Mono Núñez, el Festival Hatoviejo-Cotrafa, y el Festival Nacional del Pasillo de Aguadas. Cuenta con más de veinte años de trayectoria y, además de ser uno de los mayores exponentes del repertorio tradicional, se ha encargado de darle voz a la nueva música y las nuevas posibilidades que varios compositores han querido ofrecerle a este instrumento. En esta ocasión presentará música de Juan Manuel Sossa, Daniel y Luis Carlos Saboya, Juan Pablo Cediel y Sebastián Villanueva, entre otrs.
